City land deadline day loan signing

YORK City today signed former Burton Albion midfielder Chris Hall on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old signed from Gainsborough Trinity ahead of the 5pm loan deadline.

The left-sided midfielder-cum-forward had three seasons at Burton, making 63 appearances.

Hall is available for selection for Saturday's Blue Square Premier clash with Ebbsfleet United at KitKat Crescent.

Let's be positive and hope he can bolster a midfield that's been pretty inconsistent recently. However it's hard to be positive when hearing of the problems regarding a new stadium. Everything that Colin, the staff, the fans, the Trust and the Board have done seems rather futile if the future really is so bleak. It's interesting that no more comments are allowed on that story. What happened to free speech? I could say a lot more but I'll probably be erased if I do.

No point in signing a keeper for the sake of it who's not going to be any better than Evans, I think the summer will be a good time to really look into the possibility of a solid keeper.

Got a mate who's a Burton fan and he rates Hall so lets hope he does well for City.

Might as well give Mimms a game on Saturday; I bet he'll be better than Evans has been this season.

Well, if we're going to limp along in mid table of the Conference for the next half a decade I won't be spending the thick end of £300 on a season ticket. Astonishing comment.

Much as it pains me to say it i too had the same thought about my season ticket for next year, the money could go on the family holiday.

Thanks for that Mr McGill cracking ambition. Maybe i'm being harsh and should put the blame on the authorities / councils doorstep .... idiots

And how can this be a positive signing ? A Burton reject playing in a lower league ?????????????????

Maybe it will start do dawn on people that things are not all rosey with our wonderful board. Things are looking very bleak - the outlook of limping along mid table in the conference for 5 years is an appalling ambitionless prospect for this club.

Now if we had got to Wembley in the Trophy I wonder where all the money would have gone......

Supporters with ambition, a Manager with ambition but an MD with none. Dreadful.

"Now if we had got to Wembley in the Trophy I wonder where all the money would have gone"

What does this mean? Are you seriously saying that the Mcgills would have stolen the money?

Your a cretin Dinga. I'm glad I don't see you at games.

Its time people realised what is really happening. The only people who will loose out will be the supporters if anything goes wrong, not the McGills. There seems to be a underlying plan that seems to be coming out, no ambition? Or is it preparing the way him to cash in?

Do you not think that perhaps Jason has threatened "limping" around in this league for the next 5 years to ensure that more fans exert pressure on the council to back this new stadium?? At the end of the day promotion also brings in alot of cash, so why would he and the club not want that too. ??

Are you all mental? He is trying to save this club not make a quick buck. Get over yourselves and support the club the board and lets get this new stadium built.

I dont believe that anyone involved with the club, at the moment, is trying turn the club over and make money or ever have had that intention but, the comments made in the "Limping along" article were shocking and not the sort of comments, and total lack of ambition, that supporters of any club would want to hear, on the note of that 'infamous' article is it just me or was the time alloted for comments very short?
