VISITORS to the National Rail Museum (NRM) in York could be forgiven for thinking they are going loco this half-term when they clap eyes on a massive machine from the Orient.
The latest addition to the NRM's collection is a gigantic Chinese locomotive, which can be viewed via a special platform. A child-friendly new exhibition, with cartoons and illustrations, will answer the common questions such as "what does the Chinese writing mean?"
The new attraction comes hard on the heels of the NRM's successful photography exhibition, entitled China: The Last Days Of Steam.
